Another File to Link bot but this one actually works and is not dead yet.

❓ How to use the bot?
Just send a telegram media to the bot and it'll generate a direct link to that media file which can be used to download it from a browser.

🤔 Why is it even a thing?
- The bot generates the link to the file within seconds no matter what size it is.
- The generated links are way faster than Telegram's normal download speeds.
- Share a telegram media to your friends using these links without the mess of asking them to download telegram.

ℹ️ FAQ

🔗 How long the generated links are valid?
They will remain valid as long as the database is not corrupted. Check /settings.

✉️ Can I use the links to link the media to 3rd party sites / services?
You can do so at your own risk. I cannot guarantee that the links will remain valid indefinitely, as there is a possibility of errors occurring with the bot without warning.

📎 What all types media can I send to the bot?
You can send any media as long as it does not contain illegal materials such as child pornography, gore, or other similar content. In the event of copyright takedown requests, I will take the matter seriously and remove the file so that it cannot be accessed any longer.

If you can't forward a file from a public channel / group due to protect content restrictions, you can simply copy the link of that post and send it to the bot to generate a direct link to that post.

ℹ️ Note: The channel / group has to be public.

🔧 Scheduled Maintenance

I've noticed the bot being a bit slow for pagination of /myfiles command. This might be due to the database since the current setup is not scalable so inorder to rewrite the database, the bot will be down starting from 20/03/2023 16:00 IST.

⏲ ETA? Depends on the time I get to work on this project, it might take upto a week (worst case scenario).

🔧 Maintenance Complete

The bot is back up after 1 week (yeah the worst case scenario did happen) with new database and for the performance improvement, I can't see for myself until you guys start using it. For the next two days the bot will be partially up as I have to watch for any errors when the bot is being served to many people.

- New automated restriction system for ToS violators.

📈 What's the next plan?
If the project goes up and due to lack in supporter, I'll be forced to remove direct links with url shortened ones and introduce paid tiers to keep up the server cost. In case if anyone is interested to back this free service and to keep it free forever, feel free to DM me. Hope you'll understand why I chose to go with this decision.

🎉 We just got 1k+ users and 10k+ link generations. Seems like you all are enjoying this service.

❗️ Now, it's time to address the elephant in the room. If this goes like this, the service will die at some point either by abuse or due to my server limitations. So in the coming days, I'll be forced to add limits and updates that you might not like but these are inevitable if you want the bot to be alive. So here are the upcoming changes that will be implemented in the coming updates:

- Link expiration for files greater than *100 MB.
- Webapp to preview the file online (video, audio, photo and document viewer)
- URL shortened links for keeping the servers alive.

Hope you guys will understand why I chose to go this way. Keep supporting for more awesome stuffs ✌️

⏲ Sorry for the extended delay. Implementing a web player was not that easy just like we thought but we manage to pull it off thanks to our frontend dev. The bot might have some downtimes as I'll be shutting down the servers in case if I find any bugs and please do report any bugs if you spot them.
